Redken Beach Hair

Redken Fashion Waves Salt Spray!!!  I love this stuff!!!  I use it on myself and clients all the time. It has epsom salt to separate layers and define waves to give your hairstyle amazing definition.  It leaves finished hair touchable, semi-matte, and effortlessly tousled.

First things first – shampoo or don’t shampoo?  I recommend not shampooing first.  The natural oils from the day before help keep the hair from getting too poof-y.  If your second day hair is lacking in volume – give your roots a shot of dry shampoo.  Some blogs I’ve read say to spray the sea salt spray on the roots… I really don’t like that idea.  I feel the salt from the spray will dry out the scalp making it flakey.  (No thank you!)

So, take your second day hair – using water – get it damp. Spray the Redken Fashion Waves into your damp hair and scrunch it around.

At this point – you can either let your hair air dry or use a blow dryer set on a cool setting.  Don’t use heat on salt sprayed hair – it’ll bake it to a crisp.

If you have no natural curl of your own – you can iron some loose waves into your hair, then spray the Fashion Waves into it AFTER, and scrunch it around.  Curling your hair after the spray is on is very drying. Just be carful.
